I am Melia Matthews, a native of Weaverville, CA and and alumna of Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA (BA in Biology) and Cornell University in Ithaca, NY (Ph.D. in Biomedical Science). My passion for photography began when I was Scuba Diving. I wanted the ability to capture the amazing things that I saw and share them with my family and friends. I took an Underwater Digital Photography certification class and have gone from there! I specialize in macro photography, finding the patterns and textures and colors that are easy to miss.
